079 - 199 Slowking Line

#079.52 - While most Slowpoke will inevitably evolve into Slowbro due to the sap secreted from their tails, some Slowpoke do not naturally produce this sap, and fail to catch Shellder on their tails. If this happens, these Slowpoke have been known to catch Shellder manually and hold them over their heads until the Shellder clamp down. Once bitten, the Shellder’s venom creates a unique reaction in Slowpoke’s brain, unlocking a vast intelligence comparable to the smartest humans. As long as the Shellder remains attached, it will transform with the Slowpoke as it evolves into Slowking. Over time, the Shellder’s venom will pool outside its shell and harden into a jewel, embedded into the shell’s surface; the darker the jewel, the more intelligent the Slowking.
